Collected revenue

Checkout price minus the coupon funded from your own pocket, then reduced by expected refunded revenue.

Affiliate and ad cost

Affiliate orders × commission, plus paid-ad orders × average ad cost per order. Direct orders carry neither unless reports count the same order twice.

Profit left per order

Sales revenue after product, TikTok fees, affiliates, ads, returns, fulfillment, shipping, and monthly creator costs.

TikTok Shop profit questions sellers ask after launch

How do I calculate real TikTok Shop profit?

Start with checkout revenue after seller-funded coupons. Subtract supplier cost including FX markup, freight, 3PL, shipping, platform leakage, affiliate commission, paid CPA, expected refund loss, reverse logistics and allocated creator costs. The remainder—not GMV—is operating contribution.

Should affiliate commission be charged on every order?

No. Apply commission only to the share of orders attributed to affiliates. This calculator separates affiliate, paid and direct orders so a viral creator mix does not get mistaken for free traffic.

Why can a viral TikTok Shop product still lose money?

High affiliate commission, seller coupons and refund spikes can consume the entire contribution margin. Viral volume also increases payout holds, support load and unrecoverable returned inventory.

What TikTok Shop fee rate should I enter?

Enter the rate shown for your market, category and seller account. Platform fees change by country, category and promotion, so the preset is a planning assumption rather than a promise of the current rate.

What is a safe margin before scaling?

A positive result is not automatically safe. Many operators require at least 15% modeled contribution margin plus a profitable stress test to absorb commission changes, creative fatigue and return volatility.
